4 Super easy DIY Hair Masks

The festive look is incomplete without a great hairstyle. Unfortunately, hair styling can leave your hair dry, prone to breakage and not so great! Here are some inexpensive, easy-to-use homemade hair masks:


1. Great for Dull Hair

This mask needs just two ingredients.



Things you need:

  • Olive oil

  • Egg

Here's how you apply the mask:

  • Mix 1 egg yolk with 1 tbsp of olive oil.

  • Use a fork to mix both ingredients nicely.

  • Use a wide-toothed comb to make five neat sections.

  • Now apply the mixture starting from the scalp and working your way down to the ends.

  • Wait for 30 minutes, and rinse well.

  • You can now use a soft hair cleanser to get rid of the eegy smell.


2. Great for scalp nourishment

Who doesn't have coconut oil at home? Mask that will not just nourish your scalp but will also promote hair growth.



Things you need:

  • 2 tbsp. of melted coconut oil

  • 2 drops of tea tree oil

  • 2 drops of essential oil

  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp. of hair conditioner of your choice

Here's how you apply the mask:

  • Take a small clean box, and mix together coconut oil, the essential oil of your choice, and the tea tree oil.

  • In another bowl, mix the brown sugar and hair conditioner of your choice.

  • Using a wide-toothed comb part your hair into sections and apply the oil mixture to slightly damp hair. Start from the scalp and work your way towards the ends.

  • Now take the brown sugar and hair conditioner mixture and apply to the scalp only, Gently massage do not scrub.

  • Wait for an hour, then rinse with lukewarm water and use a mild hair cleanser.

3. Great for reducing hair fall

Stress and health issues like PCOS are prime reasons for hair fall. Along with a healthy diet and lifestyle, you can use this organic, chemical-free mask to boost your hair growth.

Things you need:

  • 1 cup plain yoghurt

  • 1 Tbsp. coconut oil

  • 1 Tbsp. castor oil

  • 1 egg

Here's how you apply the mask:

  • Whisk the yoghurt till it's smooth.

  • Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.

  • Apply the mask and leave on for at least an hour the rinse.


4. Great for dandruff reduction

Tired of dry flaky scalp?




Things you need:

  • Green tea leaves

  • Honey

  • Spray bottle

Here's how you apply the mask:

  • Soak green tea leaves in warm water for 5 minutes, and let it cool.

  • Filter and add a few drops of honey to it.

  • Transfer the mixture to a spray bottle.

  • Spray onto the scalp and massage from the scalp to the ends.

  • Wait for 10 minutes and then rinse.
